Why does it bother me (us)?

So when we repent to our Lord in Heaven he forgives us our sin(s) and forgets it. Why is that when we repent in church, that church forgives and the pastor forgives but they dont seem to forget. They remind us all everyday. Remember that thing you did, remember i forgave you for your sins. Its a constant reminder. Why is it like that? Why is that i stand in church and hear the pastor pray 'please God protect our christian youth?' Why does it hurt me? why does it feel like i am left out as well as the others? To me i dont think he said the right things.. He should say every youth... He cant choose and pick out who is christian and who isnt. We are all God's children..
I have been wanting to get this off my chest...

Please leave me your opinion about this... you can write it as a comment....thank you

  1. Hey hun, honestly...I think the fact that it bothers you is good. The reason that it bothers you is because you feel like you don't fit in to the "christian youth" category...well on your home page you posted the question if one can really know whether he is saved or not...and the Bible teaches that we should. If we truly have a relationship with the Father and are cleansed from our sins when we repent, (even though we all trip afterwards)...it saiys if we believe, we will be saved and not condemed. That is our proof...but the problem is that we have a hard time beliving that and trusing God's Word because we do not have a close relationship with the Father. ...I personally sometimes question my salvation too because my life's actiones don't always resemble a Christian's life...but I believe that what your pastor says is good, because he is stating the way that it should be...people who come to church should be a family united by their faith in Christ. Now not everyone ofcourse is saved yet, like ppl who have never repented or believed...but that is why they should feel convicted by the Holy Spirit when they are left out. It's like a fear that brings one to God....maybe to make you feel better, your pastor might have added something like..."God bless the youth who isn't close to you as well, and bring them to You..." in the end.
    God Bless you hun....nice topics....

  2. HEY,
You cant forget that people are not God! God forgives AND forgets, but people do not always forget the things they forgave. When we look at the people around us we fall down and have no reason to get back up again, but when we look to God, our hearts fill with hope and new strengths. I wish that for you; look up at the One that is looking at you and be good, be smart, be better for Him! Not for the people that push you down with their words and actions. When you begin to do things for GOD people will start to see a change, a difference. Like the song by "Newsboys" goes "shine, make ?em wonder what you've got..." Why should people push you from what is right? There will always be people and things that stand in your way but that is not something that should stop you. We have to be strong, even if other people are not strong and cause problems, we should be the ones to show them the right way and carry their weaknesses on ourselves. Even when they go against us. After all isn't that the reason God put us on this earth? Even some christian people need help (the ones that say things like "but you did this..." when they forgave you for it 3 years ago). Shine for Him that is Awesome, Forgiving, Great, Magnificent, Forgetting, Almighty, Merciful, Glorious, Worthy... Shine for GOD even in the darkest hour! Love ya girl :)
